Hi. When I’m in San Roque next time, I’m wondering if I can use the internet facility in Jaliobong to keep in touch with my friends in Europe and America by email….. please clarify.
Fond regards to Miss Beltran.

The fine sand down by the shore of Lake Mainit in Jaliobong is ideal for soil remineralisation.
You are not utilising your resources, you bums in Jaliobong.
That sand at the shore of the lake is a goldmine for farmers.
Ask the people of San Roque about the tomato plants that I grew in my garden, with huge big thick stems……
Yeah, but then while I was sleeping at six am in the morning, all the sneaky little cowards in San Roque came around to my garden to steal my fruit…. because that’s how they are in San Roque……….
The people of San Roque are SNEAKY LITTLE COWARDS who come like a thief in the night….. so the people of San Roque stole my fruit from my garden while I was sleeping at 6am in the morning… because that’s what these SNEAKY LITTLE COWARDS in San Roque do.
So, when I saw that these SNEAKY LITTLE COWARDS in San Roque were coming around to my house at 6am in the morning while I was sleeping, to steal my fruit, I just pulled up all my plants from my garden, and decided never to grow any more fruit in San Roque, the town of sneaky little cowards and corrupt criminals.
SAN ROQUE: THE TOWN OF SNEAKY LITTLE COWARDS AND CORRUPT CRIMINALS.

Yeah, sure. If you’re talking to me – which you may not be – Vicky is sleeping now, so I can’t get her to translate. London has changed now. I don’t want to go to London any more…although I may have to go there just for a day, to arrange certain documentation with the permission of the Philippine Embassy in London.

ORO, SE DO BHEATHA ABHAILE
——————————————–
Patrick Pearse Version
(Chorus)
Oró, sé do bheatha abhaile,
Oró, sé do bheatha abhaile,
Oró, sé do bheatha abhaile,
Anois ar theacht an tsamhraidh.
‘Sé do bheatha, a bhean ba léanmhar,
do b’ é ár gcreach tú bheith i ngéibheann,
do dhúiche bhreá i seilbh méirleach,
is tú díolta leis na Gallaibh.
Chorus
Tá Gráinne Mhaol ag go duill ar sáile,
óglaigh armtha léi mar gharda,
Gaeil iad féin is ní Gaill[5] ná Spáinnigh,
is cuirfidh siad ruaig ar Ghallaibh.
Chorus
A bhuí le Rí na bhFeart go bhfeiceam,
mura mbeam beo ina dhiaidh ach seachtain,
Gráinne Mhaol agus míle gaiscíoch,
ag fógairt fáin ar Ghallaibh.
Chorus

Hi. I can work out the guitar chords and sing this song at the next singing contest in Canaway or at fiesta time in San Roque. The words are very meaningful, when set in their historical context.
Well I didn’t want to be a conversation stopper.
I love Jaliobong.
It’s a beautiful place, further south along the shore of Lake Mainit.
It’s a bit wilder than San Roque and Poblacion.
Bandit Country?
Or the Garden of Eden?
we love you and i mis you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I like the shore of the Lake down there at Jaliobong. It’s wild and has an unspoiled natural beauty.
It could be transformed into a paradise.
I could be happy there….. as long as I have my *jug of punch* …… ha ha….

THE JUG OF PUNCH
One pleasant evening in the month of June
As I was sitting with my glass and spoon
A small bird sat on an ivy bunch
And the song he sang was the jug of punch
chorus:
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo, too-ra-loo-ra-lay
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo, too-ra-loo-ra-lay
(Last two lines of verse)
What more diversion can a man desire
Than to sit him down by a snug turf fire
Upon his knee a pretty wench
Aye, and on the table a jug of punch
chorus
Let the doctors come with all their art
They’ll make no impression upon my heart
Even the cripple forgets his hunch
When he’s snug outside of a jug of punch
chorus
And if I get drunk, well the money’s me own
And them don’t like me they can leave me alone
I’ll tune my fiddle and I’ll rosin my bow
And I’ll be welcome wherever I go
chorus
And when I’m dead and in my grave
No costly tombstone will I have
Just lay me down in my native peat
With a jug of punch at my head and feet
chorus

I want to go to Jaliobong, and live on my pension, and remineralise the soil and grow fruit in soil remineralised with sand from the shore of the Lake down there in Jaliobong…………………….. and have a dear friend who will collect *tuba* for me, and a girlfriend to take care of me with regard to personal needs. So, if we settle the problem in San Roque, can I go to Jaliobong and live on my pension with a nice young man to bring me tuba and a nice woman to give me all the love my mother never gave me?
