Below is a suggestion from a fellow IHMAnian Atty. Bernard Dagcuta with regards to an event that helps to improve our alma mater at the same time will help to have a specific date for a grand reunion. Please write your comment and pick between those dates. Thanks to all.
” I just happened to pass by this site and it interest me so much as my batch 86 is planning to host the 2011 alumni homecoming of IHMA. The said year is very significant to us (86′ers) because we will be SILVER JUBILARIANS by then. We hope it will be followed by the next silver jubilarian batch and eventually become a tradition. I would like to solicit your opinion to have it on a fixed date so that it will easy to remember for alumni of all ages. Let’s say every dec. 26 or every august 23, day after the fiesta. Common guys, your suggestions, even thebwildest ones, are most welcome.
Like the rest of the alumni, i miss also my heydays in IHMA. It’s ironical that our house is just a stonesthrow from our Alma Mater yet i have never set foot on her ground except during sugat or easter sunday mass. As president of batch 86, i am planning to institutionalize the putting up of alumni newsletter and maintain an official alumni website where we can share and exhange notes or simply connect with each other. All these and more would remain plans without our collective efforts. At this early, i am encouraging every alumni to save a penny and time to attend 2011′s grand alumni homecoming.
Thank you for reading my speech, hehehe “

Hey, I am from batch 2005 and speaking for my batchmates (I presume that I do speak for, if not all of them, atleast, most of them) Our batch may not be as successful like tother batches, not yet, but we’re willing to take part in any fund raising activity.
Our Alma Matter, has been struggling for funds, as far as I can remember, for alumni events. We have depended solely on donations and most of our fund raising activities are solicitations. God loves a cheerful giver, yes He does, but did we ever consider that the people that gives donation is on the same list each year, some may be tired of this routine, some may not but if continually do this, those where not will be sooner or later. So may I suggest that we start to do some income generating project like placing a store inside the school premises, funded and manned by the IHMAAA, or something like issuing a membership ID for $10 and for every alumni event that they will be attending and there is an admission fee they they may get a 25%discount and membership should be renewable every 3 years. Putting an internet cafe inside the school is also a good project, off course it will not allow gaming, students can enjoy it for a more economic friendly price. Those we have already collected donations, if we have, then we can use it as capital. In this way, we can have our own fund.
hey guys, reading atty.dagcuta letter of concerned made me think, though we’re not on the same year graduated in our alma mater but we have the same concerned likewise to the others who post their comments here..sad to say that most of us are successful on our chosen carrier but seems forget our alma mater dear, it would be nice if we look back and reunite to make something amazing on that place!!!!go ihmanians…
best regards to all!!!
Hello Bernard!
Just stumbling accidentally upon this site, and wow… so, we have like this ha? bringing us all together closer again. It seems we’re just a hundred meters apart.
Well, what struck me most is the FOUR letters and a dot before your name. Very attractive and pleasing to the eyes haha. I hoped and still hoping I have them too. But after three takes, seems it is not for me. Anyway I am so happy for you attorney.
With regard to the future ALUMNI celebrations, I hope can join you at least for one time. Aside from being far, family and financial are big factors. Well who knows, miracle can happen anytime.
If you have spare time, kindly extend to me some news from our beloved Alma Mater, I was once also the Pres of SGC 1998. Till then, expecting for news from Atty. Bernard Dagcuta hehe.
Best regards to your family(do i know your wife?), and to our fellow IHMANIANS.
Always,
Rene dela cerna
